Everyone I know has got a story about how their back has effected their health over the years. From sports injuries, accidents,
I'm curious what is your story?
This is mine ... Stretching and yoga have played a huge part in my life over the last thirteen years. I discovered at a young age that I had scoliosis. My parents took me to the chiropractor.. it was excruciating! I did ballet from 3 yrs old which helped with my back strength but as I got older I tried Physio, chiro, acupuncture, hijama to name a few. Ultimately #astanga #yoga has been my saviour. When I'm stressed it shows in my posture...I go to foetal position (as most of us do- protecting our hearts of course) My thoracic spine needs lots of attention in undoing this. Back bends, rolling on balls, chest/ heart openers have been my go to for mood elevation, and back care. (Don't forget to balance with inversions if you're doing back bends). I did 20 min of this today after feeling very lethargic my back feels amazing. Anyone I come across who complains of back pain I recommend yoga first and foremost. #workinprogress #backhealth #balltherapy #yoga #scoliosiswontstopme #stretch ✨💜
