🐦💙💫Still so sore from yesterday's attempt at the Blue Bird variation. It might not have looked very professional or elegant, but it was so much fun! As an adult you should take any chance you get to pretend you are a fast, light and ethereal creature, that could step right out of a Tim Walker picture or a Tim Burton movie - just my humble opinion. It might not ever 'look' good, but that doesn't mean adults can not enjoy getting better at pointe work, even though they only get the chance to do it once a week. I notice little improvements, and that joy of learning and getting better makes me want to do it over and over, just for the fun of doing it. Pointe work is hard, so hard that I sometimes need my teacher be tough on me and push me a little bit over your boundaries, only to look back later and see that that push was exactly what I needed to get over your own fear. Do you need this push in pointe class as well? Or do you only learn and work hard when someone cheers you on?
