Regrann from @elly.mayday - I wasn’t too fazed about losing my hair or losing the ability to have kids. .
I was too worried about losing my life. .
I chose to deal with my feeling later and as I came around and the future began to be something I could talk about, I realized I was a bit sad about these things. Not really the hair (cause It comes back) but the not having kids. .
It’s important to give yourself some time to heal, we all heal at different paces and in different ways. .
I chose to not deal with it then but what I’m trying to say is, you have to deal with these things at some point.
If you don’t address it, it can upset you later. Do what you have to do but understand it’s important to try to heal from each thing that hurts you or else it’s just a wound that keeps opening. .
I can talk about kids, I can be happy for friends, I can reason with my heart that maybe I’m meant to take care of more than just the children I could bare. .
So put on your armor, but know when to take it off and patch the wounds. .
... oh and remember, giving birth is the last thing that makes you a mother.
