I only started experiencing anxiety in my late 20s after, ironically, I made really positive changes to my life. It was once I stepped out of the comfort (and misery) of a corporate job with stable predictability that I understood those feelings. Anxiety doesn't have to be triggered by major events either; even regular movement of life can cause us to spin out in fits of worry and over-thinking, and while it's common, it doesn't have to be totally "normal." Sometimes it takes some trial and error to find what works for each of us. What works for one might not work for another, and we have to be willing to keep trying. This is a great restorative inversion, especially if you've been on your feet all day. This drains the fluids from legs and hips, and allows greater circulation of the blood through the upper body.
This is great to do for a few minutes at the end of you day. You don't need any props, but it's nice to be supported by a bolster, block or folded blanket/towel underneath your sacrum.
