Week 2 of K E T O complete! 💪🏼😚We upped my fats by 20g for this week because I have been extremely hungry on my current macros. Never in a million years did I think that I would be ravenous on 185g of fat, but here we are haha 🙃 My cal intake is above 2200 cals right now, and on keto, I have been maintaining my weight between 120-122 lbs. This past week, I have noticed:
-I have no desire for sugar 🍭
-I have had zero skin breakouts 🙏🏼
-my hormones MAY be regulating (anxiety is lower 💞)
-I'm craving greens 🥒 and salty foods
-I no longer desire as much protein 🐮
-It is very easy to eat out while following keto 🍴
I also got results back from a gene test that I had done (I will post more about this later!) and it said that for my gene type, I REALLY need to push the PUFAs.. so things like flax, salmon, beans, walnuts, avocado 🥑, coconut, eggs, pecans, etc. So this week, I am really going to focus on fueling my body with this form of fats to see if I notice any additional benefits!
I did have my first refeed on Saturday, where I had carbs 🍚 for the first time in almost A MONTH! 😱 I ate 250g of carbs and it felt amazing! 🙌🏻 I had two G I A N T bowls of oats and blueberries, and it didn't bloat me or make me feel bad at all. It actually felt amazing the next day (my weight didn't even go up!) and I had suchhh a good workout that day ha! 😝 But now I am back to the no carb life, and I am still in ketosis based on my blood ketone monitor.
Being in ketosis feels great. The low carb life is incredible.. when you have high fats 😉 I am very happy with how I am responding so far! Healing this gut is going to take time and patience, but I'm anxious to see where I am 6 months from now 💙 Questions? Comment 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
