I’m not scared of too many things. In fact I’m someone who enjoys the rush I get from public speaking, heights, real emergencies that come into the ER...I like tight, closed spaces, they make me feel safe and cozy...anyways you get the gist of it. Here’s a few ridiculous things I am afraid of:
1. Stepping on frogs or toads
2. Touching fish
3. Stepping on grasshoppers or crickets 🦗

Today I celebrate 52 trips around the sun. 😀
I like birthdays, I like to think I am another year wiser. I also like yoga and lists. Here are some things I have learned in 5 decades.
💫
1. Spend your time, energy and money only on what brings you Joy.
2. Let go of one-sided relationships. If it has to be forced it’s not meant to be.
3. Actively Love your family, your friends and your pets. The more you Love, the more you Love. 💖
4. Do things that scare you. Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear. Plus, it’s fun!
5. Make love often, get plenty of sleep, eat tacos. 🌮
6. Listen to your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. Even if everything you see with your eyes seems fine.
7. Social Media: Not everything needs to be shared, don’t compare yourself to others, and some things can only be expressed in a meme.
8. Meditate regularly. Be still, feel your heartbeat, listen to the silence.
9. Talk to, or smile at strangers. You may learn something new or make someone’s day.
10. Share your gifts. Hone your skills and talents. It’s the key to your Life’s purpose. ❤️

Todays asana: A transition. Here I will have to modify with the asana Halasana (plow pose). As you can see my back does not have a supple roundness, which causes stress on my neck (work to do). I see you my yoga practice as climbing a mountain. Some parts of the route and easy and some parts of the route are challenging. In the end, it is the joy of the exploration.⛰🧘🏻‍♂️

My reflection and understanding of Sutra 2:15-17 -
A wise yogi will view all experiences, both good and bad, as painful. Why is that? The wise yogi will recognize that the experiences imprinted, conscious and unconscious, will cloud/color the mind. The yogi chooses to avoid these experiences knowing that the experience is only temporary anyhow. There is freedom in not getting engaged with the experiences. If the goal of eternal self is colorless. Why engage with good and bad experiences to maintain clarity of the mind. Your thoughts? (Although colored) Haha

Some of the asanas and transitions have been a challenge. I have noticed some muscles being stimulated more than usual. Digging it! Let’s keep growing and learning.

Todays asana: A transition. The transition of 'jumping through’. I used my YogaBody parallettes again. As you can see, I am a little sketchy on that handstand tuck and follow through. The muscular engagement of the lower abdominals is striking.

My reflection and understanding of Sutra 2:12-14 - If I am understanding correctly, Patanjali is saying that you are going to have subconscious mental impressions of the world both good and bad (people, objects, things, ideas, etc) You store these away in your back corner of your mind in various degrees of approval or disapproval. These mental impression seep out in good and bad (karma) in emotions and ego. If the yogi understand that this occurs. A yogi can attenuate them. A wise yogi can pre-plan karma. Am I close in my understanding?
