Technique for the Bent Over Barbell Row. An exercise that is, more often that not, executed very poorly. In the first clip, showing incorrect technique, we can see that I am standing too upright, swinging the weight up, using momentum and there is not control in the lowering phase. In the second clip, I am leaning much further over, with all my spinal erectors tight, and hamstrings engaged. You should feel when you’re in the right position as it is difficult to hold it and you can feel the tension kick in to the back of your legs. From there, we want minimal movement of the torso. The arms should pull the bar in a vertical line, and the bar should touch my stomach. Lowering the weight under control, you fully extend your arms at the bottom. To help relieve the symptoms and gently workout my core and legs, I completed:
🔹Ys, Ms, Ws x 15 reps on each leg
🔹squat with a cable row x 15
🔹TRX reverse row x 15

4 sets in total, 30 sec rest between sets. 💥 .

If my hands could speak they’d be crying right now😂👋🏻 this was my 2nd set of 210kg and 2nd set out of 7 in total for deadlifts (finished off with 100kg to failure). Hands were that bad that I struggled to lift the bar for my 6th set and had to use straps (140kg)😭 Then I had the rest of my back workout to finish (weighted pull ups, bb rows, pulldowns, 1 arm row, few cable exercises)😂
