It didn't feel like the right time for me, until I was on my 10 Day Silent Meditation Course. It's truly an amazing book and if you haven't already... I recommend you to read it too ✨
CHEST LIFTS & BACKBENDS:
Backbend poses such as Royal Dancer, Wheel, Camel, can give you an uplift of energy and release tightly held emotions that are stored in the chest area. They can feel joyous.
But for people, like me, who are hyper mobile in their lower backs, there is a tendancy to practice backbends by compressing the lumber spine. This can cause injury over time. So instead, we need to warm up the body and move the focus higher up the spine to the thoracic area of the chest to work on chest/ heart lifts. . .
Join me tonight (Wednesday August 15) and on Sunday (August 19) lunchtime at Triyoga Studio in Camden Town for four slow vinyasa flow classes (level 1-2 and 2-3) that focus on backbends and heartlifts. Learning how to mobilise your spine can feel exhilarating and liberating. . .
