Today's menu: Bacalhau a Minhota
This is a portuguese recipe, and it's made of fried cod, a bed of potato chips, and the sauce is bassically onion and red bell pepper stripes poached on olive oil. Very very caloric!!
When I was living in Portugal we used to go to this very traditional restaurant, everything was cooked by this old lady, Donha Lourdes, and this recipe would be an usual choice. So the day before I left Portugal, I went to that restaurant and asked Donha Lourdes to tell me how to cook Bacalhau a Minhota.
Portugal has an amazing gastronomy, and is still a paradise for foodies, as gentrification hasn't ruined it yet. Cheap and exceptional quality food. Oh and they are the kings of pastry.
