#Throwbackthursday I was just looking through my phone and i found this video ...so amazing. I remember the drama we use to have with #bread
Kiki at 5 months and his first attempt at snacking was bread....i tried every baby snack i could find & even tried to make mine but no, the moment he saw bread that was it (i bet he got the love for bread from my brother @blackhypertek ....he can eat bread for Africa.) Anyways, luckily for me, he didnt feast on bread alone, he also liked my homemade baby food...potato and carrot mix puree.
Its pretty simple to make & healthy for the baby...basic ingredient:
Potato (sweet or irish) but i usually use irish potato.
Shreded boneless fish.
How to make it.. Peel and cut potato and carrot into cubes and cook. When its very soft, i add few slice of tomatos and onion. After that, I transfer it to a blender, where i add my already boiled titus fish (thats after removing every tiny bone) and it's puréed until smooth. Then, very carefully, I spoon the puree into washed & sterilized baby bowl, i add a bit of butter and its ready. He would eat it so well....gosh, i was always happy he ate it because he was selective with food. This can also be stored in the fridge.
That's how i make one of my homemade baby food. Honestly, I have much respect for parents who make their own purées. Because you what? YOU ROCK.
What snack did you baby fall inlove with? And what homemade baby food got him/her hook? Share your comments below...i would love to hear all about it.
