Can’t believe week 25 is here. Just a few more months and we get to experience the most beautiful moment of our lives. ✨
They say motherhood is the most wonderful experience in the world- well so far the last 25 weeks have been the most wonderful, challenging, self learning weeks of my life. I can’t wait to meet you little girl 💕 But until then I’m taking every note in my #expectingyoujournal so as to never forget a single kick, flutter, or joy you have already brought to our lives. ❤️

❄️❄️ outside but ☀️☀️ inside! This meal just screams warm weather and has got me all excited and ready for Spring...yea I know Winter just started but a girl can dream right?! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Another rendition of my favorite...lettuce wraps 👌🏼
• 4 boston lettuce leaves
• 🍅 slices
• half an 🥑
• few tbsp plain green yogurt
• 2 hard boiled 🥚
• salt & pepper to taste • 2 @cutiescitrus 🍊🍊
• a few @waybettersnacks chips
In a small bowl- smash the 🥚 and 🥑 with the plain Greek yogurt & salt & pepper until it is lightly blended. Serve on top of your lettuce leaves, wrap up and 👌🏼!

Foam 🌀🌀🌀 There may be a few things that have changed since this picture was taken ...**ahem- bye bye flat stomach :) but I’m loving my ever growing belly.
But one thing is for sure- foam rolling is still my GO-TO!
It has always been the best way for me to release tight muscles, increase muscle recovery, and even give a little stress release and at this point in my pregnancy I love it even more! Tight hip flexors, IT-bands, lower back pain, the list goes on from the discomforts of pregnancy but let’s be honest we all have these issues!
What is your go-to for tight and sore muscle aches and pains?

Monday night v i b e s 🥑

Slowing things down a bit as I enter my 6 month of pregnancy but still wanting to give my body the diverse types of workouts it’s been used to with this FULL BODY sweat sesh 💪🏼 Naturally I would have my favorite workout girl by my side of course! 🐾
1️⃣ lunge + row + tricep kickback- 10 reps each side
2️⃣ plié squat + shoulder press- 20 reps
3️⃣ squat + push & pull- 20 reps
4️⃣ squat hold + double side taps- 1 minute
5️⃣ bird dog- 10 each side
6️⃣ fire-hydrants & leg lifts- 10 each side of each exercise
7️⃣ plié squat pulse + alternating hammer curls- 20 reps
8️⃣ reverse lunge + knee drives- 30 seconds each side //
2-3 sets, resting 1 minute between sets.
Modifying or increasing resistance based on your fitness level or how you feel that day. //

Comfort with a side of “healthy” we’ll call it...
Pregnant or not who can resist a warm bowl of chicken & broccoli alfredo on a frigidly cold day?! No one. You’re lying if you say you can.
But it’s the start of a new year and everyone has started their juice cleanse, diet of some sort, or your menu is strictly kale salads so I decided to clean this recipe up a bit & make it a tad on the healthier side:
|2 servings| • 1 cup bow tie pasta (I used the original but you could always sub whole wheat or @eatbanza pasta too!)
• 2 cups frozen broccoli • 1.5 chicken breasts chopped • Handful of pinenuts
• 2 garlic cloves minced
• 1-2 tbsp. almond flour
• 2 tbsp. grass-fed butter
• 2 tbsp. milk (I used skim milk but you could use whatever you prefer)
• 1/3 cup chicken stock
• dash of salt & pepper • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese ///
Cook pasta in boiling water about 8 minutes.
While pasta is cooking- add the olive oil, chicken and broccoli to a sauté pan and cook until lightly brown about the time it takes to cook the pasta.
Drain pasta and add to the sauté pan. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
In a sauce pan over medium heat add the butter & garlic and whisk a few minutes. Then add your flour as you continue whisking. Add the milk & chicken stock & whisk a few more minutes before lastly adding the Parmesan cheese.
Add the sauce to the rest of the dish in the sauté pan.
Serve & top with roasted pine nuts. 👌🏼

Givin’ this growing baby & Mama body all the nourishment with this post workout spread. Lately it’s been all the fruit, all day everyday- mixed in with a few of the OG staples. ///
Two crispy tortillas topped with a slice of 🥓 and an 🍳- finished with all the 🥑 & a little pepper jack 🧀 ///
Plus half an 🍎 & my fav ❤️- CUTIES!!!
Paired with lots of 💧, I don’t think there is anything this plate is missing!

In honor of not really knowing if today is #motivationmonday or #tacotuesday or #humpday I decided to post this lower body burn of a workout for ya! 👊🏼
If you can’t tell I’m about 6 months pregnant and my high intensity workouts have needed to slow down a bit...but that just means they burn more right? //
5 exercises- hitting all areas of the lower body & guaranteed to make you look back on it 😜
I did 10 reps of each x 4 but you do what feels good for you! Weights and other sources of resistance can be added- I got mine in the front.

Ain’t no 👀 back on 2017 over here 👋🏼
Counting down the days until a new year- new me...and not because 2017 was terrible because it was definitely one of my best years yet. Shout out to being able to call myself #wifey & #babymama all in one year! 👊🏼 I’m so incredibly grateful and thankful for all the goodness I received and achieved in 2017 but I am so freaking excited for what 2018 is going to bring!! 🎉
Cheers to constantly pursuing new moves, becoming a new Mama, and enjoying each day this new year brings! 🎊

This weather has reached a new level and I’m not quite loving it...which is why I haven’t moved from the fireplace since Christmas |kidding| 🤣
But one thing I’m not joking about is that the food aversions are b a c k! And back with a vengeance. So last night this was dinner- negative temps outside and all! But- what baby wants, baby gets and luckily this lil’ number is packed with all the nutrients baby girl needs!! 💕
I still need a little practice perfecting an insta worthy açaí bowl but damn was this good! //
Blended one @sambazon açaí packet, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup water, & 1/2 cup coconut milk.
Topped off with blueberries, cacao nibs, 1/2 a crushed @larabar, granola, and coconut flakes 👌🏼
Highly recommend- just don’t forget a pair of gloves to wear while you devour this delicious bowl of goodness 😜

The year isn’t over yet, which means you still have some time to pump out those goals and resolutions from 2017 before you start looking ahead to 2018. A few more days to give yourself grace, show some love, and focus on promises you made to yourself.
The new year will be here before we know it and everyone will be setting New Years resolutions but don’t forget about staying in the present moment, taking your goals day by day and being okay with the fact that maybe 2017 didn’t go as planned...that is however l i f e. //
For me- 2017 has brought an abundance of changes, a new mindset on the truly important things in my life, an ever changing body I am loving more and more everyday all while freaking out along the way :), and an ever expanding goal for myself as 2017 comes to an end. I’ve come to understand I am only in control of so much, I can only expect so much of myself and others, and its best to take things day by day surrounded by people who make me better. ❤️

End of the week means cleaning out the refrigerator and also hoping you still have a few of your favorite items inside...like avocado & cheese of course 🤷🏻‍♀️
The most simple & delicious bite I made for lunch yesterday:
Crispy black bean tostadas 👌🏼
2 tortillas warmed to a crisp with a little avocado oil in a pan ✔️
Top with cheese of your choice & melt ✔️
Sauté black beans and garlic in a separate pan & then add to the top of your tostada ✔️
Slice your avo, add some sour cream or plain greek yogurt, and a little salsa verde ✔️
Lunch ready in 5 minutes or less- no drive thru necessary 😋
