Halva & Pistachio Pinwheels
Every time I bake w my kids there’s a moment when chaos creeps in and I have to let go of my expectations of precision. Yesterday, the dry ingredients that were measured to the gram got blasted all over the kitchen when Jack turned the mixer on full-blast. I was bugged, but I moved on, added in a little flour, cleaned up, and the cookies were still a success. Sometimes I think motherhood is a long-term lesson in letting go of expectations and learning to enjoy what comes my way.
This recipe is from the newest @thebakefeed cookbook, and it was written by @thejamlab. It’s dead delicious! Not too sweet, lots of flavor! We already have plans to make it again. The only change we made was to add sprinkles on the edges instead of dried rose petals and an unintentionally edited amount of flour. 😉
