Buttonwillow 13CW with @speedventures recap: unfortunately, I was only able to run one session on Saturday 22 Sep before finding that my @fealsuspension left front shock had blown. That probably explains the knocking I felt and why the car didn’t quite handle as expected and slid more than usual.
On the bright side, I now have a new PB of 2:16 (previously 2:20) with an optimal of 2:13 from just the first session alone. Additionally, I was held up by significant traffic during nearly each lap. Not too shabby considering these less than ideal conditions.
Had I ran all four sessions with everything on the car working as expected, it is likely I could have approached 2:10, but there’s only one way to find out: I need to return to Buttonwillow 13CW at least once more in the coming months. However, in the meantime, this car needs to be back in a ready state in time for Thunderhill a month from now.
