Nanda was tired. He had not slept the previous night. He looked at the snow- capped peaks of Dhauladhar range. “Life is a daring adventure or nothing,” he thought he heard his Brennen English Teacher’s words echo in the mountains. The snow- capped peaks were smiling; they seemed to say, “Rest, Amanda, rest.”
Do you see the cover, it keeps me awestruck, it keeps me captivated every time I see it, the snow- clad peaks of Dhauladhar !
Author has given a detailed portrayal of every character, there are a lot of stories in each chapter, small parts making the bigger picture.. Nanda, Khusru and Rekha, the protagonists are brought together by fate to the mountains of Dhauladhar, their unforseen journey is the surprising element of the book !
Nanda’s life was filled with a combination of grief, romance, action, comedy, suspense, drama !
I liked Rekha a lot, the way she waits for the man who makes her heart “Dha Dhin dhin na” and how she chooses a kidnapper over the educated doctors and dancers but isint this the beauty of love, it just happens to the strangest of people !
Khusru the young boy displaced from his native village in Kashmir, his journey at the Akbar camp, the promises made to him of reuniting with his family and how they reunite !
Story has everything, love, it’s a perfect confluence of love, mystery, suspence, murder, accidents !
Thank you @menanddreamsinthedhauladhar for the books !
