Daily Sketch 01.03 When Gresta began to bud, she was excited. She named her small-self Alessia (after her favorite rebellion-era warrior queen) and impatiently awaited the day she would become ripe and therefore eligible to join her mother and sisters on the hilltop. As Alessia gained awareness, it became clear that something was wrong. Her attitude was bitter; she refused to practice the Words of Evening. At night, she would lay awake, reciting Sylvan ballads, disrupting Gresta's Dreamscry practice. Yet, her small-self was part of her, a reflection of the hidden rebelliousness of her spirit. When Elder Saminna gave her the choice, her decision should have been obvious and immediate. Somehow, Gresta could not choose. Ablation and a second sprouting, a second chance at taking her place on the hilltop - or keep Alessia and follow her wanton individuality into the Wild and Beyond?
