Story time!! I know you all love a bit of story time. So the whole "one foundation a day review" is going off on a tangent. I wore the @ex1cosmetics Invisiwear today but didn't really wear it long enough to pass judgement, I'll try again tomorrow. Anyway, I decided to go to Covent Garden today solely for the purpose of buying someone a gift and I ended up hauling a whole heap of stuff for myself as well 😒, it's Leo season - I've got to treat myself 🙃. So after a quick stint in Covent Garden I somehow ended up in Selfridges at the 🍉@itcosmetics counter and I asked the really nice lady (we know what happens with me and really nice sales assistants)at the counter to colour match me to the CC Cream. She picked out Tan and Rich - which from the tubes I thought neither will suit me. She took off my makeup and applied a little bit of Tan to the side of my cheek, said it was too light, passed me a mirror and asked me what I thought...the lights at the counter were blinding, I couldn't see anything and I just agreed with her...because she was nice. She then whipped out Rich which was literally darker than NC45, dabbed a little on my face and was like "yes this is the one" and proceeded to do my whole face with it...my stress levels were 100 at this point. It was way too dark and I asked her to kindly take off half of my face and apply Tan so that I could compare the 2. Why do some makeup artists blanch out your lips with base, I wasn't going for a malnourished look, how are you just going to cancel my day's plans like that😣? Gurrrrl, I came to you with my face looking a little exotic - kind of like a @fortnums Crystallised Ginger Stem Oatmeal Cookie: a little spicy, a little shimmery...and you're just going to allow me to casually walk out of here looking like a Sainsbury's own brand digestive biscuit?!...Now I've got two different shades on my face and I look like a digestive that's been dipped in tea. Also, that tiny sample that you see there was the concealer that was used to correct my under eye circles...can somebody explain this situation to me please, why is my concealer darker than my base? What exactly are we trying to conceal here?...my sins?!
