He was released in the camp on 25th November and executed on the same day.

BY GOLLY! The other night I was presented with the 2017 IP Champions Award for Excellence in Creativity from The Global Intellectual Property, US Chamber of Commerce in honor yours truly #therealnealadams for my lifetime support of #intellectualproperty . James Rosen of #foxnews presented me the award. James Rosen is a huge #comicsfan and said that night was within his top ten best nights ever.
@tmb11779 and David Bogart from @marvel and Troy Dow from @disney were also seated with me and my family.
I decided after receiving the award to speak about #dinababbitt and her artwork at the @auschwitzmemorial and how we need to return the paintings back to Dina Babbitt's family.
#shoutout to @billyfgibbons of @zztop for his Award for Excellence in Creativity, and @novartis and Kristen Harrington Smith and their award for Excellence in Innovation for gene-altering #leukemia treatment. .

This story isn't directly related to me, but it's just so important we never forget what happened, I have to share it with you guys.

In 1944, Marcel Nadjari (a Greek Jew from Thessaloniki) had the misfortune of working as a member of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Sonderkommando. These forced laborers had to perform unthinkable tasks: removing the bodies from the gas chambers, extracting teeth, shaving off their hair, delivering the bodies to the crematorium, and disposing the ashes into rivers.
Nadjari managed to bury a letter in a forest near the camp (enclosed in a thermos and wrapped in a leather binding) in november 1944. The text was rediscovered in 1980, but it was unreadable. Using a new imaging technique, scientists have reconstructed the letter managed to decipher 90% of the document.
It’s clear that Nadjari was distraught by the nature of his work, and even contemplated suicide. But it was his thoughts of vengeance that kept him going.

A little passage of his letter:
“When you read what work I did, you will say, how could I, or anyone else do this work and burn his fellow believers... many times I thought of coming in with them (into the gas chambers) to finish, but I have always kept my revenge. I wanted to live to avenge the death of Papa and Mama, and that of my beloved little sister, Nelli.” Nadjari managed to survive his experience at Auschwitz-Birkenau. He returned to Greece after the war, and eventually moved to the United States. Nadjari died at the age of 54 in New York, before his document was rediscovered.
The last picture is the letter how it was found, and the restored letter.
