I can't even begin to express my disbelief and devastation at the loss of the iconic rock musician, Chester Bennington.
Linkin Park has a special place in my heart. I've been listening to @linkinpark ever since I was little. Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight were the early ones I listened to the most. My love for rock came from them. They're my number one band.
I was lucky enough to have gotten the chance to meet Chester and the rest of the band at their concert. They're all so kind, considerate and heart-warming.
I remember Chester thanking me for coming to the show when I said I loved it and was so glad they came to my city. I know it’s a simple ‘thank you’ to these sorts of comments, but to hear it from Chester himself, right in front of me... It meant a lot.
It hurts to realise that I'll never get to hear Chester sing live ever again... As most of us know, his voice captures so much emotion and meaning. Every song had its own story and he sang them with all his heart. He's helped me get through times of loneliness and depression in my life with his powerful voice and words.
We've lost too many great musicians in the last few years - a number of them from suicide. Why are the ones who have helped millions couldn't get help for themselves?
Rest in peace, Chester. You'll never be forgotten for the incredible impact you made in the lives of many.
