#NationalComingOutDay - On the night of my first Gay Pride Festival the Pulse Shooting happened in Orlando. I felt powerless, but then I heard the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles sing for the first time at the vigil for the victims and at that moment I knew I had to officially come out and join this group.
@gaymenschorusla uses music to spread a message of tolerance, love, acceptance, and social change. In the past 6 month I’ve hand the honor to sing at Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher’s memorial service, perform with a group of over 30 different religious organizations together in harmony at Walt Disney Concert Hall, and on America’s Got Talent!
But beyond performance GMCLA does revolutionary outreach programs with incarcerated youth in Los Angeles and with high school students across the nation on our “It Get’s Better Tour.” If you feel hopeless in a world of hate, consider donating to GMCLA so we can continue to spread our message of acceptance and love through the power of music.
