Making tiny wooden screws for clock escapements. - The gears you see me install on the lathe at the beginning determine the threading of the screw, which in this case needs to be 6-32. - On the lathe, it would be simpler to achieve this thread with a 36-tooth to 96-tooth gear reduction. - The lathe is a 1914 Dalton B4, & the mill is a 2017 Sherline 5400. The wood is lignum vitae.
