Remember me? Yeah, I’m just over here munching on some humble pie. What a month it has been! Let me give you a quick snapshot of what’s been keeping me away: .
1. We bought a house (wahoo!) which means, besides the obvious crazy involved in the home buying process, we also had to pack, move, and unpack a whole family of four. No easy task. We also thought it wise to do a million and one improvements to the home before moving! Absolutely worth it – absolutely exhausting. .
2. The month of May was, hands down, the BEST MONTH EVER for my shop!! I made a few resolutions and goals back in January, one being a very Hairy, Ambitious Goal that I didn’t think I’d reach but wanted to aim for and, you guessed it, I REACHED THAT GOAL! This has kept me busier than I ever anticipated, but I couldn’t be happier for the “forced” creative release it has provided. .
3. We celebrated my daughter’s FIRST BIRTHDAY! That snuck up on me. Hard. Plus, we spent a weekend in the Seattle area celebrating my niece’s first birthday as well! .
All that, while trying to be a good wife, mom, and friend – it’s been a struggle. But this is certainly NOT a list of complaints or excuses. Quite the contrary: I’m so blessed and happy about all of these wonderful things! I’ve been basking in this happiness, but am relieved to have my head on straight again, and get back into a bit of a routine (as routine as summers can be…). So THANKS for sticking with me 😊 .
