Happy Fridays! Golden hour in the lovely street of UNESCO village Hongcun, China 💕 I just absolutely love the windows and these ancient Chinese architectures 🙌🏼 Also, I went to Jesse McCartney concert at my school last night!! I am not a fan of him because I didn’t grow up listening to him, but I really want to see what this famous guy look like haha! Will upload stories of the concert later!! 🤗 he also said that he’s gonna release new music in March! How exciting is this for all of his fans 😉

Driving through the vast scape of salt fields🛵🚚🍶🌱🛣

Beautiful on the surface, held together by fate and magic.

Mystic Myanmar or beautiful Burma however you want to call it, for us it was one of the highlight so far and for myself the reason I started traveling in the first place. It was just as authentic as breathtaking, just as real as beautiful. Let's hope that commercialization spares this pure beauty as long as somehow possible! Thank you Burma! It was a pleasure it was an honor!

The history of Vietnam’s biggest city is just phenomenal. This church, the Notre Dame Basilica Saigon, was build in 1880 by the French colonialists. I actually don’t like the way French people treated the locals, as I read in books and on articles, but the buildings they gave to this country are phenomenal and give them a really nice touch today. The harmony between new and old in Saigon is really genuine. Make this trip to Saigon an even better experience and get a city tour, as that’s the best and easiest way to get to know the history of the country! Enjoy it! .

:TEMPLE BAKONG, ROLUOS, CAMBODIA:

This temple predates ALL others of the Khmer Empire in the Ankgor region. Built of the finest sandstone, it stands here in nearly perfect condition over 1,200 years after completion. King Indravarman I finished this marvel of architecture in the year 881 AD at the site of the ancient city of Hariharalaya which served as the capitol of the Angkor empire before moving to the grand temple structures of the more widely recognized Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat. If you have been to Boroburdur in Central Java, Indonesia, you will notice the unmistakable resemblance to those structures. It is thought that there was a great exchange of ideas and thoughts on buliding and architecture between the two great empires of the Khmer and the Shailendra dynasty of Java. Arriving here late in the day, as the last temple I visited, I was incredibly lucky to get this fantastic light cast as the sun set directly behind the temple. I was also fortunate enough to have walked to the very furthest point inside the temple walls and sort of snuck in behind a small statue as to wait out the last visitors unseen by the temple guards. As the last person out of the complex, I was able to get this unadulterated view of it's grandeur, and it seems as though even after 1,200 years of weather and war it still stands as proudly as it has since the day it was completed, well over a millennia ago.

:ROADSIDE SMILE, SRA YONG VILLAGE, CAMBODIA:
On our two hour drive north east from Siem Reap into the sparsely populated Cambodian countryside, we passed only one gathering of people large enough to call a village. The landscape was dry and harsh, not the lush green abundance I had remembered from my last trip to Cambodia many years previous. It seemed as if it hadn't rained for months, the roads were dusty, the fields were cracked and dry, and the sun was beating down overhead baking the already thirsty ground. Not far from our final stop of Koh Ker and the many temples we had set out to visit, we stopped at a lifeless little gas station in the middle of nowhere. I got out of our caravan to stretch my legs and instantly the heat overwhelmed. Straining my eyes into the sun, I saw a little roadside shop across the street and in the front yard was a family preparing food for sale. I headed across with my camera to get a closer look and instantly all their faces lit up. They were smiling from ear to ear at having visitors, which I assume are not very common out here. The had some make-shift netting overhead in an attempt to provide shelter from the sun. I'm not sure it gave them much respite, but it did create some fantastic shadows as the light danced between the openings in the canvas. We couldn't communicate with words, but this girl was so excited to have her photo taken and as I showed her the first capture on the back of my camera she smiled even impossibly wider. I quickly stepped back and got this shot of her, not a care in the world despite the heat and harsh surroundings. You can see pure joy in these impromptu countryside smiles and they usually are the most sincere you'll find.

Was ist Schönheit?⠀⠀
(Josi)⠀⠀

A tiny moment, captured by a loving person. I have a partner who loves me every single day. It doesn’t matter if I’m happy or sad. Wear make up or don’t. I can be myself and feel comfortable with him. I’m seen through a loving eye. That’s all I need to feel beautiful. (Josi)
