REVIEW : WingWing Krispy Chicken, Bloomsbury, London (@wearewingwing) 🐓🐔🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗🍟 A Korean style fried chicken shop recommended to my by my brother!
Korean fried chicken is slightly different to western styles as it uses potato and corn starch over wheat flour and breadcrumbs to achieve a thinner, lighter skin much crisper (less crunchy) and less oily (I love both styles dw). WingWing offer both large peices and wings in 3 flavours:
- soy/garlic (fave)
To my taste, they could've seasoned a little bit more heavily as, asides from tempura, fried food isn't really the one for subtlety! But they were all great. Don't bother with the large peices the wings are where it's at (get chips if you realllllly have to). I'd delve into the taste profile but everyone know what wings taste like haha
Price was reasonable for LDN at £1.01-£1.25 a wing depending on how many you buy (can order from 6 minimum to 50 at a time which is ideal for a group.. Or if you hungry 🤔) Considering quality, consistency across the menu, and value it gets a solid 7/10 👌👍 NB: the place was Asian themed and full of Asians, it was recommended by an Asian and this review is by an Asian..... sooooooo I mean you already know its gonna be good 💁🙅 - go check it out!
