Looking for some motivation? Check out @ashley.horner and @hannaheden_fitness as they run 200miles through Haiti to raise money for a local orphanage.

I've only met these two women briefly last summer, but I follow them daily. Both use their love for fitness to help others in ways beyond what is normal or expected.

While I'm often inspired by them, it's the last 24 hours that I am overwhelmed with sending them love and support. Check out the insta story on Ashley's page and watch this woman do what is seeming to be physically impossible just to raise awareness for those in need. It's truly inspirational!

Well here goes nothing...
I feel like I've come a long way. Physically and mentally. From 2010-2014 I gained 50lbs. In 2015 I feel like I took losing weight more seriously and was able to drop 30lbs. During the process of losing weight I learned so much about health, fitness, and that I actually wanted muscle and to not just be "skinny". There was no reason for me to get back down to my high school weight, which was really just unhealthy. I never really did health and fitness right. And I'm still learning, and I'll always be learning. --
In the past few months I've put on a few unwanted pounds. I can give a million reasons and excuses, but there's no point. It happened. But today is a new day. I'm finally feeling re-energized. --
I entered Ashley Horner's Transform You challenge to keep me motivated and to keep me in check. I'm not in this so much to lose weight, but to have a healthy body. I want to get stronger, I want to gain muscle, I want to be comfortable in my own skin. Mentally I want to relax and not feel so stressed.
Her community is amazing and I can't wait to see what happens in the next 10 weeks!

Well here goes nothing...

Digging deep on a Wednesday! πŸ”₯πŸ‹πŸƒ Did a 15 minute EMOM (sped up a touch to fit) between squats and a mile sprint at 7:30 before getting some ttb, pushups, chest, and tri's in. Working with 165lbs deads, barbell burpees, bodyweight squats. The πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯was real! Finally finished the program - had 2 minutes to do each excerise Results 50 #pushups 37 #situps 30 #pullups but I had the machine weighted with 45LB 1.5 mile run x 2. I haven't been the best at sticking to my gym plans, and lately it hasn't been the first thing on my mind in between work and school life. I made myself take at least 45 min at the gym today to get some cardio and weights and I definitely feel better and it was better than nothing! β€’

Soooooo...this is me right now! Back in October I broke my ankle πŸ˜’ as some of you know I had Cancer 7 yrs ago, and as a result of removing it I went immediately into medically induced menopause. Ooo the joys but we will go there in another post. So between the broken ankle, very low hormone levels and obviously lack of my normal active lifestyle I put on about 20-25 lbs 😳 as I've shared in a previous post next Monday I'm starting a challenge run by Ashley Horner, and participating with #ashletes. I hope to get back the body I worked so hard for! I hope to get past being scared of hurting myself again! I hope to stay strong and not let my injuries dictate to me that it's over for my body! Thank You everyone for your never ending support from the start! I appreciate each of you more than you know!! Here's to making a COMEBACK! πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ😎
