I've got big news to share. This week I was named one of @forbes Top 10 Travel Influencers. I am incredibly humbled and grateful, and it is so affirming to see my hard work recognized. 🌺 For me, it's always been about one thing above all: showing women how to travel the world safely and independently. I care about these women. I want to keep them safe. I want them to know that you're not a selfish person for wanting to travel the world. I want them to know that most parts of the world are safe for a woman to travel on her own. And I want them to know that solo travel leads to incredible personal growth. 🌸 At the same time, though, I'm worried about where the industry is going. There are some harmful practices going mainstream and I hope we can work to keep our work ethical and our followers as safe as possible. I wrote a post on this topic and it's juicy as hell 🍑 -- you can click the link in my profile and it's the top post. 🌷 Thank you for the congratulations and kind words -- I am the luckiest woman in the world to have all of you in my life! 🍋Oh, and this photo was taken at the excellent @curatetapasbar in #Asheville this past weekend. Those of you who know me know I'm usually all about cured meats and red wine, but my waiter convinced me to try white vermouth with a twist of lemon and I'm a convert! So delicious!
