I listened to the most beautiful Super Soul Conversation this morning with Oprah and Brene Brown.
It talked about how rising up from a fall is the point in our journey where we must define the truth in our story. And..let’s be honest, we tend to make up ugly things about ourselves when a less than perfect scenario plays out in our lives. When we are turned down from a job, mistreated by a friend, or rejected in a relationship etc… , we immediately analyze why we didn’t quite measure up. What did we do wrong? Why weren’t we good enough? It’s a slippery slope when we start rationalizing the why. We rarely take the time to actually sort out fact from fiction. And most of the time we settle on false storylines that we end up carrying with us for a long time. These storylines affects how we show up over and over again when we are greeted with new opportunities and experiences. The awesome thing is, the power to create an awesome storyline lies within us. Decipher where the actual truth lies, make adjustments, and author a brilliant story to carry you forward.
May you start your week with a beautiful story that is created authentically by you.
Manifesto of the Brave and Brokenhearted: “…We are the authors of our lives. We write our own daring endings. We craft love from heartbreak,
compassion from shame, grace from disappointment, courage from failure. Showing up is our power. Story is our way home. Truth is our song. We are the brave and brokenhearted. We are rising strong.” - Brene Brown
