-👨🏽💼👍🏽, 🛏x2, 📖⛩- Next up was Japan! Was super excited about this place as I’d only heard really amazing things. Technology being supreme to most countries, incredible train system, friendly people, safe environment and amazing food. Leaving the airport I jumped on the train heading to my hostel in Tokyo where I met a local Japanese businessman. He gave me some tips of things to do in Tokyo, got off the train with me so he could show me the next one I needed to catch and even gave me his card offering to help me out if I ever needed anything else. The first person I met with incredible generosity was a great first impression of the Japanese people.
I then eventually got to my hostel where I was keen for a good nights sleep however was told that my bed had been doubled booked. After a long flight it’s not the most ideal thing to happen to you but the apology and alternate option given to me was second to none. Apologies at least 10 times with many bows in between which was a bit excessive but from what I’d been told Japanese people have high standards and mistakes are to be minimal so when they do they are very apologetic. They offered accomodation at there sister hostel which would be free for the night and also gave me money in a little envelope for me to use for the Taxi to transfer there. ⬇️ (Continued)
