A painted, colour-traced portrait of Hayao Miyazaki, of whom is the creator of my favourite movie, Spirited Away.
Like always, this is another task we had to complete for Art class, of which was actually due ages ago (thanks to my terrible posting-schedule). Accordingly, I apologise for not having better quality photos; these were the only ones I managed to shoot before I had to submit to my Art teacher. Our task was to acquire a photograph of a person/celebrity, then trace and repaint them in unrealistic colours according to what appeared to be the image's lightest and darkest areas (after limiting colour variation in Photoshop). If you swipe to the end, you'll find the original picture of Hayao that I used for all this (not-completely-accurately). While I may have made him look a bit like the KFC guy, he's, in truth, an amazing filmmaker whose movies (Studio Ghibli films) I really recommend to anyone who hasn't watched before - especially those who are fans of anime/animation. I'd definitely do more art relating to those movies (more specifically Spirited Away) if I had the time.
[BACK FROM HIATUS] With concerns to my recent inactivity, I deeply apologise. It's usually towards the end of each school term that I get so caught up in assignments, exams and just life-junk in general that I can't find the time to post. Since it's the holidays now, I'm aiming to post more art and stuff at a rate that's close to once a day but I can't make any promises. Nevertheless, thanks for the ceaseless support from those particular people out there (you know who you are) and, most importantly, the amazing people who actually bothered to read this far.
