I became DLANG (da*lang) at 14 years old. I told myself, I'd start advertising it now, before I had the clothing line. So, I changed my name.
I also wanted DLANG to mean something beyond a fashion line, but as a way to remember in the process of legacy building (Yes, at 14 I thought heavily about my future and also of course teenage stuff)
I wanted to remember to have faith in my greatness. To not be this shy kid, but to emerge in my power and the creativity that was bursting out of me.
The "D" in Dlang represented being "different". As I grew older, I realized I didn't have to be different. I just needed to be me.
I was going to change the meaning of the "D" to be something other than Different, but I kept it as a reminder to differentiate myself and choices. It was ok to not follow the norms and define my own path.
20 years, later the dream has evolved. I've bumped my head and made stupid moves, but in the process learned valuable entrepreneur, personal and business skills. I've never lost sight of the vision.
I'm estatic to release DLANG Designs 2018.
Curvy Queens emerge in your power. I'd love for you to be on this journey with me. Sign-up for exclusive updates and contests. (link in bio)
