This isn't everyone's favorite pose but we practice it in almost every class so to avoid hurting your shoulders, elbows, wrists or back (😱), please follow along to learn how to practice safely and correctly:
What's wrong withy the first two pictures? 👎🏼Looking down👎🏼elbows flared out👎🏼 arched back 👎🏼weight dumping into shoulders 👎🏼elbows too far behind wrists 👎🏼weight pressed back into heels.
Tips/Alignment for looking like the bottom picture👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
⭐️Keep hands directly under your shoulders and feet hip width distance apart.
⭐️Keep your elbows directly above the wrists
⭐️Move forward as you lower down. Look slightly forward, chest forwards, forward on toes. This will help prevent your elbows going too far back and collapsing into the ground.
⭐️Try to keep your shoulders pulled back. Squeeze your biceps/elbows by your ribs and stop lowering once your shoulders are in line with your elbows.
⭐️Keep a straight line from head to toes. Squeezing your core nice in tight, keep your rib cage pulled in and try not to puff out your chest. ⭐️Squeeze your glutes nice and tight so you don't pike your hips too high.

Our nutrition topic today is: WATER.
⭐️Did you know your body can lose more than a quart of water in one of our classes?
⭐️Hydration is essential, especially to workout to your maximum performance 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽
⭐️Losing 2% of your body weight in fluid can decrease performance by 25%😰
⭐️Signs of dehydration: feeling THIRSTY, fatigue, mental unclarity, headaches, dizziness, cramping early on in workouts☠️
⭐️ One to two hours before your workout, drink 15 to 20 ounces of water (a standard water bottle usually holds around 16-17 ounces)
⭐️15 minutes before you begin a workout, drink between 8 and 10 ounces of water
⭐️For every pound lost, replace it with 16 to 20 ounces of fluid
⭐️The suggested average intake (base intake, workout not included) is: women--72 ounces (9 cups) men--104 ounces (14 cups)
⭐️Drink more of hotter days 🌞
