Alonga os músculos da região lombar, alivia a tensão no pescoço, revigora a energia e aumenta o fluxo sanguíneo para o cérebro.
Sente-se com os joelhos unidos e quadril em cima dos calcanhares. Inspire, leve os braços acima da cabeça e junte a palma das mãos. Alongue braços e tronco para o teto e desça o tronco em direção ao chão até a testa e os dedos chegarem ao solo. Mantenha o queixo longe do peito. Permaneça na postura por alguns minutos.

Full Tortoise 🐢 - Routine from the #usayoga 2017 National Asana Championship. (1 of 6) Full Tortoise takes incredibly open hips. People ask me how long did it take me to learn how to do this. I answer by telling them that I took my first yoga class 10 years ago. Everything builds and progresses with a consistent practice. Physically, it takes repetition to gain flexibility and moreso the nuanced strength to support the stretching muscles. It takes a lot of backbends and forward folds to gain this supreme spine mobility. Everyone is either more prone towards flexibility or strength. Yoga allows us to build both to a state of balanced harmony. Mentally we are building new (or rediscovering long lost) neural pathways which corresponds with new behavior patterns. The deepest teachings of Yoga guide us to new / more behaviors that are kind, compassionate, and loving to ourselves and others. ⭐️upcoming classes⭐️

I never stop. I'm always going. Even though I encourage my students about the importance of finding moments of stillness, it's still a challenge for me. When you feel you have the weight of the 🌎 world on your shoulders and are present for everyone. That's when the stillness must happen. It's time to find those present moments and just breathe. Just observe. Listening to the body resonate through each inhale and exhale and noticing how the heart rate slows down, the brain feels balanced, your body becomes open to receive and eventually you're simply just....being. Being present, being an observer, being accepted by your own brain, to be open to receive words of love and affirmation instead of words of criticism and self depreciation. You are enough. It's a practice. It's a daily practice to cherish these quiet moments, to release all the mind chatter, and just be present. It's super calming for the mind. This pose, half tortoise, increases cerebral blood flow and strengthens the abdominal muscles. It also increases flexibility of the hips, shoulder blades, deltoid, trapezoid and broad back muscles. Half Tortoise is also an excellent position for stiff neck and shoulders and helps prevent back pain. It sends oxygenated blood to the brain, thereby improving memory and clearing the mind, and it regulates blood pressure and the sleep💤 cycle.✨🕉🙏
