So I’ve completed week one of SmolovJr and oh my fuck it was poor🤦🏼‍♀️

📷120kg deadlift for 1 of 3 singles... Benching 4x per week is hard,
But only j u s t being able to hit 80% of what my RPE 9 maxes are has been quite a lot tougher. 😔
Lifting is quite psychological and it really shows after a poor week of training.🤕
BUT we shouldn’t sit and cry ALL day. Rather, we can stick to program and force our bodies to work hard and reap the rewards😏plus any arm pump is fun😍

Nobody likes cardio. Cardio is that one kid who reminds the teacher there was homework. Cardio is the guy who won’t stop asking you to dance at the club. Cardio is the little shit that stole my crayons in the 1st grade 😂. BUT!!! Although it sucks, it’s crucial for your health and not to mention you be feeling cute asf afterwards. I used to be super creative with my cardio and lately all I’m doing is blasting some Merengue, Bachata & Salsa and dancing my big booty off. If you don’t like treadmills or stairmasters you can ; ride a bike, skate, skateboard, box 🥊 , dance, walk, jump rope, climb, run outside, HIIT, battle ropes and so much more. Get creative !! .

😴 boring paused speed work in the 70-75% range. 90lb/40kg-ish and my third go at 95lb/ 43kgs. Focusing more on explosive power as we definitely aren't going to get any stronger this close to meet day. Been playing around with set up stuff and self handoffs cause that has been probably the hardest part about training bench on this rig. The bar rests have about 1-1.5inches of wiggle room for the bar to slide back and forth. Second vid shows what I've found to work best for me. Setting up my back first with the bar as far back as it'll go, and rolling it forward prior to setting my grip and unracking.
