3 years with Perci
The most incredibly smooth, sassy horse I've ever ridden. When I first got her, I was an absolute nervous wreck and was told on multiple occasions to get rid of her. She would rear up so high it was pretty much completely vertical. I was TERRIFIED to ride her. But I refused to give up on her because she was my first horse.. my best friend. At the time I hit that awkward teenage stage and stayed to myself most of the time. I didn't care for people, but animals made that okay. So I kept riding her, even if I'd drift off for periods of time afraid to get on her. Finally, about a year after I had her... enough was enough. I sucked it up and rode it out and I'm a much better rider because of it. Did I fall of her? No. Have I fallen off? Ooohhh yes, but never her. I unlocked things I never expected with her because I chose to never give up on her and believe in God to get me through it. Perci is an INCREDIBLE jumper (she has jumped around 4ft) and her speed is to die for. While she's still a fairly green horse of a massive 16.1hh tall, we've improved so so much. She may not be my preferred riding horse for barrels, but she's definitely my go to if I want a little fun. I will always be forever grateful for my best friend and my crazy psychopath ( I promise you she's insane ) I like to think she's one of the many reasons I am who I am today...
So thank you,
