Yesterday was my girl’s last day feeling pain. It’s not apparent here anymore, but I grew up with horses and a barn in my backyard. This one was special and incredibly athletic. She taught me to be tough, but forgiving. She once kicked me full force in the back... and later carried me to qualify for National Finals.
Eventually, she played a significant part in a really bad time in my life—and when I “lost her” along with many other things at that time, I loved her even harder.
A few years later, I moved to Florida and was lucky enough to know she would be taken care of for the rest of her days by the only person I would want her to be with.
I’m heartbroken that I didn’t get to say one last thank you, but grateful that God chose her to help shape me into who I am today.
Rest easy, Bunny girl. #aqhaproud
