12-19-16 to 12-25-16 ✨
For half a year of battling sadness, Lord has finally granted 3 of my wishes for just over a week (right in time for His birthday). So instead of asking gifts from my family, I opted to share the magic of Christmas to the less fortunate. To let them feel the spirit even more, I bring to their small table a simple Noche Buena treat made of love, completed by a Christmas Ham. With the help of my dad and mom, we went around the streets of Quezon City to feed families of street children and or street vendors. Seeing how this is just an ordinary day for them, a simple greet and blessings would make a huge difference. Their smiles, their unending gratitude, and their excitement just felt exactly Christmassy.
Life has been full of ups and downs this year. But, it did not stop me from sharing God's love to my family and for those who needed it the most. I don't mind if I spend most of my money giving gifts. Christmas is not about money anyway. Its the laughters, stories shared, and relationships formed that matters the most. Its realizing that God has made you an instrument of kindness and generosity that made this Christmas ever-special.
From this day forward, I'll make it a tradition to bring smiles to my family, homeless children, lolos and lolas every year.
Let's all be reminded of the real spirit of this season. Christmas is about giving. If you woke up today with a house, consider yourself fortunate. There are billions people out there who's starving for food, love, and attention. Share what you have. No matter how simple it may be.
How I wish I could've feed more people. 😔
