The one day of the year. ANZAC day in Australia is not only a commemoration of the lives lost and the soldiers that fought under our flag it is the celebration of our freedom and what we stand for. Mateship, and respect. The girls created thoughtful and expressive heartfelt work for every wreath they created in #tumut this year. Aloha.
AGWA was proud to be a part of the Berwick ANZAC Day service once again. Thanks to Bill, one of our members, for capturing photos and videos of the event This particular YouTube video is of the honor guard presenting arms and shooting a volley of 3, in memory of those who have fallen
Stay tuned in the coming months as AGWA will have more videos of our events posted to our YouTube https://youtu.be/6XlFIH12GD8
'ANZAC' stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. On the 25th of April 1915, Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. These became known as Anzacs and the pride they took in that name continues to this day. #anzac#anzacday#australia#melbourne
