Former President Burkiné is an anti-imperialist, pan-Africanist and third-world Burkinabè. Since his arrival in power, he changed his name in his country that was called in the High Volta period. In power in 1984, Thomas Sankara conducts a policy of postage of the Burkinabè people. His government undertakes major reforms to combat corruption and improve education, agriculture and the status of women.
Thomas Sankara was in the first place one of the leaders of the Movement of the non-aligned, the countries that during the Cold War refused to take sides for the one or the other of both blocs.
Thomas was against colonialism and neocolonialism of Western countries and particularly of France to Africa. He is one of the leaders of the last revolution of "progressive Africa", opposed to "moderate Africa". It is considered by some as the African Che Guevara. And just as France does not like to be ashamed, its murder will be financed by a coup that brings Blaise Compaoré to power on October 15, 1987. #burkinabe #afrique #blackpolitics #anticorrupcion
