*MISSION TREKKERS UPDATE*
My mission trip buddies at Kimale Village were inspired to donate a horse for the missionaries there. We saw their need and we want to help them practically. 🐎 🌉 However, when we discussed it with the missionary leader, he suggested that we help them with the hanging bridge. Hence, the Bridge of Gospel project was conceptualized (check my old post with a bridge for details). 🍀Last Sabbath, Elder Fred (he doesn't want to be addressed that way tho haha), delivered the mission spotlight during the 10th Anniversary of Manila Korean International Church. He shared about God's work at Sablayan Mangyan communities and their great needs (SULADS). 💒According to him, that Sabbath alone, God blessed it with a mission offering of P23K from the Korean & Filipino brethren. Almost half of the goal for the main project was raised. Each of us would contribute, too. There are many among friends who donated, and we entrust the other funds to be of great use to other projects that would help Kimale to be a model Mangyan community. Other Mangyan communities would follow, God willing.
Pastor Ricky & Fred would return to Sablayan to start the Bridge of Hope Project this August. Prayers are much appreciated. 🌿 They would follow-up the Chieftain about the seeds (a few thousand-worth of various vegetables' seeds) we donated to them few weeks ago. We encouraged them to have a sustainable farm for their consumption and livelihood. Most Mangyans rely on kaingin and foraging, that they normally eat only once a day. Their people, especially the kids suffer a lot from malnutrition and starvation. 🌻I hope to visit again in September. My AUP friends would visit Kimale and Surimayba villages in October. Hoping to visit Kawayanan next time. And God willing, we could still donate either a horse or a carabao (they're in dire need for farming). Jehovah-jireh! 🙏🙏🙏 #missionupdate #KimaleVillage #sulads #bridgeofhopeproject #missionwork #missiontrip #answeredprayer #blessings #mangyan #indigenous #tribal #community #helpinghands #teamFRGL #wanderfulanie
