She was afraid they'd take this one as well... Yesterday the founder and owner of Edgar's Mission, Pam Ahern shared this calf Valentine and mother Clarabelle's story.
Pam had befriended a person in the dairy industry and said that if at any stage a dairy cow could be saved, she would be available to take them.
Clarabelle and another exceptionally lucky cow called Daphne were saved by EM. With a big 'S' spray painted on their udder to display that the industry had deemed them as "spent", they and their unborn babies were to be murdered.
But they were sent to the happiest place on earth.
Clarabelle hid her final moment of labour and her calf from the team at Edgar's for fear that these humans would also take her baby, just as they had done so many times before. She fiercely protected her bubba as she may have had to do before. This time though, she has seen her baby grow into a healthy and happy cow.
A mother is a mother. Fur, fins, feather or slither. They love their young and their instincts are to protect them.
The dairy industry is by far the cruelest industry in my eyes.
Please ditch the dairy and join the thousands of others who refuse to support such a greedy and disturbing operation.
