📜The Fortune Teller by Gwendolyn Womack 🔮was such a fun read! It’s a love story to libraries, history, badass women, spirituality, and ancient manuscripts. Semele appraises manuscripts, and in her work comes across a manuscript - a prophecy - from Cleopatra’s time that may or may not be speaking directly to her... thus throwing her into the middle of a dangerous and mysterious conspiracy. Super fun and difficult to put down! The villain was a little silly to me (though was inspired by some extremely not-silly historic events) but highly recommend especially to librarians, archivists, auctioneers, and curators. 🏺A perfect way to continue my auction house appraiser theme after The House of Small Shadows.
