Feels like a fitting description to the 3-day #OurClimateOurHealth campaigning and advocacy workshop for the NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR CLIMATE, HEALTH AND WELL-BEING ( http://www.caha.org.au/national-strategy-climate-health-wellbeing ). @climateandhealthalliance gathered 26 health professionals, each representing one of the signatory organisations with the aims to empower and deliver a group of #climatehealthchampions, as ambassadors/activists/community builders of this mega policy.
The residential bootcamp reminds me of the experience at #NLDS2017, just a few weeks ago. Both pieces of training created connections between the collective wealth of expertise and professional networks. I am beyond words and very, very lucky to learn from an @australianoftheyear, a Women of Influence 100, a public health professor, an Aborignal doctor and nurse, a GP, many midwives and nurses, health academics, dieticians, 2 clinical psychologists, policy makers, union leaders, climate activists, an ex-medical dean, a communication coach, and a @dea_students rep too!
What. A. Rock. Band.
Thank you for having this small potato from a village.
Keep an eye out for the proposal to Parliament on coming Thursday, 22nd June, I'm excited to see the reaction from politicians and healthcare sector.
Thanks @eliseherself for setting @youramsa on the course, let's help to keep the medical student participation rolling.
