-Start off with hair that is 70% wet ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Part hair in medium sections ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Apply #SheaMoisture Sacha Inchi Oil Omega-3-6-9 Rescue + Repair Curl Defining Smoothie. I've been using this for years now because it acts as a leave in AND a styler, doesn't weigh my hair down yet keeps it defined, and smells BOMBBB. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Braid the root of your hair as this prevents puffy roots. I braid down maybe an inch or so more because it gives the section some stretch, too. Then take that braid, split it in half, and start twisting like a normal twist out. Coil the remaining inch or so of your hair. THIS is what's really going to smooth the ends and define your curls. If your ends don't naturally curl, just use the smallest perm rods you can find. It works just the same! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Finger coil the bangs and then actually coil THAT onto your finger lol. I've tried methods and this by far gives works the best imo. And again, if your bang area doesn't curl, just substitute that finger (lol) for a small perm rod and wrap the hair around the rod. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Apply oil to seal all that moisture in. I use the #OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil. This oil is NOT all natural but I've been using it for well over a year now and it's worked really well for me. It's light, smells good, and makes my hair feel like satin. I recently started using #Amla oil and that's been working good as well! Everyone's hair is different though so use whatever seals your hair the best.
-SLEEP. I sleep on a satin pillowcase because bonnets are the devil himself lol. Pero like, do what works for you, ma! Sometimes I'll sleep with my hair loose or in a high ponytail to get more stretch. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-NEXT DAY! Apply a little bit of oil to prevent frizz when unraveling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Unravel where your hair *naturally* wants to separate. This also helps prevent frizz. Sometimes I'll seperate everywhere though just to get bigger hair.
