US Coalition in Iraq, Syria killed 744 civilians in June. The number is completely at odds with that of the US military, which so far has acknowledged the accidental deaths of 603 civilians since coalition operations began in late 2014. Airwars – a London-based collective of journalists and researchers that uses social media, eyewitness reports and other sources to compile its data – said the concurrent assaults on Raqqa in Syria and Mosul in Iraq were often “devastating.”
Killing innocent people became something like a hobby for the Republican Party. They don’t miss any opportunity to drop another dozen of bombs whenever they like, not taking civilians into account at all. I suppose this ‘tradition’ takes its place from Richard Nixon’s decision to bomb Cambodia, where Republicans thought their enemies were hiding. What was the result? Thousands of killed civilians.
After that, Reagan and his Libia bombings with another couple hundreds of killed people.
And, of course, George Bush's Iran and Afghan policy. And again, tens of thousands of killed civilians.
It seems like the current administration just can’t give up a bloody tradition of killing everyone everywhere and they are doing their best to overcome all the previous records in killing innocent. I am strongly convinced that while such heartless and greedy politicians rule the Republican Party, Americans can forget about affordable healthcare, affordable education, affordable housing, and other benefits of living in a truly great country. Republicans will always spend more on their wars than on their own people. That’s fact.
