This already out of print instalment of A Magazine, is guest-edited by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of the label Eckhaus Latta, based in New York and Los Angeles. A comprehensive immersion into their artistic universe, which is anchored in the core conceptual twist of parody, this issue satirises the tropes of a fashion magazine, in particular the longstanding tradition of a β€œSeptember issue”. Eckhaus Latta’s avant-garde approach to fashion is reflected in its adoption and subsequent subversion of existing structures and rubrics while acknowledging the label’s place in the American contemporary art scene today. With contributions from Linda Yablonsky, Roberta Smith, Chris Kraus, Juliana Huxtable, and others.
