Does anyone else feel that their relationship is teaching them a specific lesson right now?
This is the big lesson for me: “Relationships exist in two worlds, logical and emotional. In an emotional state, logic will make no difference.” Over the weekend Jocelyn shared with me how she was emotionally healing from a recent event; it was powerful to hear what she had discovered and how she was even strengthened by it now. 🎖
For whatever reason I immediately gave her advice on how to continue to expand it.
This caused the emotional wound to reopen.
In that moment I tried to present my case logically how I presented my advice in the best way hoping that she would see my logical view. 👀
This did not help ANYTHING you can imagine.
The thing for me to do would have been to acknowledge her for the discovery she had made, hug her and show affection.
Yet once again I was left with the obvious realization that when the world of relationships is operating in the emotional realm, my logical approach to resolve the upset will make NO DIFFERENCE.
