I hear far too often "but you only work 3 days a week" no wonder you have time to workout and meal prep"... skeeerrrrttt 🛑
Hold up people... I work 3 to 4 shifts a week. Night shifts that are never just 12 hours. I have to clock in early to get report, I'm constantly caring for patients (no they don't sleep durning the night, and babies come at all hours), always anticipating the worst, and being prepared for whatever is about to come through the E.R. It's no walk in the park. And when I finally get all my charting done, hand report off, and drive my 35min commute I'm beat, physical and mentally! I get a couple of hours of sleep (hopefully) then muster up the energy to get a 30 min workout in before I do it all over again! On my days off I try to get back on a regular schedule and function like a normal human.. but it's hard. I wouldn't change it for the world, I love my job! But know we all have our excuses. It's those who commit to their goals and show up everyday no matter what who are going to see the results. Just remember we all have different struggles. .
