thank you. thank you for shaping me into the young lady that I am. thank you for proving to me that not being perfect is the way of life and the way to a healthy mindset. thank you for showing me that anything is possible on any given day, on and off the field. thank you for showing me that hard work pays off. thank you for showing me not to give up on something that you love. slumps happen everywhere in life, and that doesn’t mean you should give up. ever. tomorrow the same situation could very well turn around for you.
dear softball... I’m not done yet. this is just the end of a very exciting chapter that I had looked forward to since elementary school. it’s devastating, yes. I can’t begin to count how many hours I’ve had in the weight room or in the gym to prove my point as a Cardinal one last time. but that’s just how the game goes sometimes. I can’t begin to count the amount of injuries or tally how many nights I went to sleep in pain because of this demanding sport, to the point where the doctors are convinced the reason I had bleeding ulcers 2.5 months ago were because of the pain medication I was taking.
dear softball.. it will never be the same, but I’m still extremely excited to join such a powerhouse of a team next year, the Wolfpack at MATC. I promise you that I will work my tail off until then, and play my heart out every time I step on that field simply because I love the game. it has taught me so much throughout the years and I hope I made a mark on the sport, too.
dear family and supporters,
thank you so much, for everything. for believing in me since I was just a little girl on a tee ball team with big dreams to someday be where my big sister would be, playing at Goodman Diamond and pushing for that title of a champion. thank you for making that possible in 3/4 years as a Pacelli Cardinal.
my heart is broken, but I’m not done yet. there’s so much of the story that is still going to be made, so I’m looking forward to it absolutely. but as this chapter of my life closes a piece of my heart will always belong to this program. #OnceACardinal #AlwaysACardinal 😇❤️
