Missing almost 7 years - Scanned Wednesday 27th Sept. but not reunited :( Mia walked out of her front gate on 8th December 2010. Altona Meadows - Victoria - Australia. A neighbour found her and called the owner. By the time they arrived a short time later, Mia was gone from the neighbour's property.
Last Wednesday 27th September 2017 Mia's owner received a phone call from Central Animal Records (CAR) to say that a Vet had scanned her microchip. The finder walked out with her, we don't know the circumstances why. Since then, her owner has been to the Police, Council and the Media will be publishing the full story in the coming days.
We don't know where she is, under Freedom of Information, the authorities won't tell the owner which Vet, or if they know who has her. They all agree - there is no ownership dispute - no tangled web, this is a family pet missing for almost 7 years, still alive last Wednesday night.
Her owner has kept all her paperwork, her Vet invoices, microchip documents, Council Registrations and her Missing Posters - all in the hope she might be found one day.
She has been found - and we need everyones help to bring her home.
We don't know where she was scanned - West / North / East / South / country Victoria, or even interstate. We don't know what condition she is in. Nobody will tell the owner anything.
Nobody in Authority will give any information for the owner to even know where to start looking, so they've reached out to Social Media to help. If you know where she is - please Private Message this page. We are respecting the owners privacy right now to continue to deal with the authorities. #altonameadows#australia#victoriaaustralia
