self-care is often overlooked or considered selfish, but self-care is so very important!
Not only for keeping us healthy - self-care helps to keep us from getting burnt out, overwhelmed, and just existing - mindlessly getting swept along through life!
I like to spend a little extra time for self-care on Sundays.
Whether that be taking a nice relaxing bath,
some down time to watch a movie or read a book,
journaling about whatever situation I may be dealing with at the time,
or scheduling in some time for a little peace and quiet to just sit and relax - without stressing about all of the unfinished things on my to do list!
and of course, I love to add oils to whatever I'm doing 💗
some of my favorites to incorporate into my self-care practice are: geranium, ylang ylang, bergamot, and grapefruit 💖
geranium is the oil of love and trust - it's the ultimate 'heart and emotional healer'
ylang ylang is the oil of the inner child - it helps us to be vulnerable and reteaches us how to have that childlike innocence and experience pure joy ✨
bergamot is the oil of self-acceptance - it supports our feelings of self-worth and being 'good enough' and helps us let go of self-judgment
grapefruit helps us to love and honor our body. It teaches us that we can stop hiding our feelings with our habits, and to put love and care of our physical body above our feelings

start adding in some time for YOU - try to get in at least one act of self-care a week, working up to every day - you will be amazed at how much your life will improve when you take the time to take care of and love yourself!
