I fell in love with Laguna after spending a few days there in January. In true-to-myself form, I visited five hotels while there and stayed in two. This was taken from a jog around the beautiful @montagelaguna. They have a nice path that winds around the property with endless views of the ocean. The path leads to both the public sidewalk and beach. I hadn’t realized Laguna was such an artsy and bohemian town. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the art galleries, boutique shopping, thrift store shopping, hiking, resort hopping, and eating all of the delicious salads you find in California. If you visit Laguna, an absolute must is a visit to #altalagunapark and #topoftheworldlagunabeach - the views are breath taking. You can drive and park there and either just enjoy the view or head out for a hike. It took about ten minutes to get there from the quaint little downtown. There’s tons of trails in the area and they all start from up there. Food: @nickslagunabeach and @wahoosfishtaco // Sunset Drink: the #ritzcarltondanapoint and the lanai at the @monarchbresort // Stay: @casalagunahotel - Into small boutiques? This one’s for you. I stayed here for three nights and loved it. It’s oozing with character and charm, their staff was pleasant and super helpful, their brunch was excellent, there were nice views of the ocean and the atmosphere was calming. @bestwesternplusdanapoint - Budget-oriented? Go here. I stayed there for a night and was surprisingly very pleased with the experience. It felt newly renovated, spotless, had easy self-parking and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, a flat screen tv in the bathroom, whirlpool tub, nice toiletries, and a solid breakfast spread. I’d never even heard of Best Western *Plus* but I’m sold. // Do: Hike the “Car Wreck Loop Trail” and jump on @resortpass to enjoy a day at the pool at the @monarchbresort and afterwards, you can hit up the @thedrybar that’s on-site. I’d go back to Laguna in a heartbeat. Tell me your favorite spots there.
